There is a new restaurant in the location that was recently left behind by Hognose Snapper. It’s called Green Parrot.
The restaurant was originally planned as a Latin American place but soon sold to Hani, who turned it into a Mediterranean restaurant with some American flavors tossed in.
My friend and I both had the chicken shawarma sandwich which was wrapped in a thick pita.
My side was the grape leaves, which came highly recommended by the super sweet young lady at the counter. She was right, they were delicious! So was the shawarma. The chicken was flavorful and the sauces added even more zing without being spicy. The grape leaves were stuffed with rice and spices and also had a delightful taste.
Also on the menu:
Chicken or beef shawarma entrees, grilled salmon or tilapia, chicken or beef kabob, fattosh salad, greek salad, tabboli salad and lentil soup.
You will also find many more traditional foods from our very own culture, such as burgers, chicken sandwiches, philly cheese steak, chicken strips and tacos.
Entrees come with two sides and a special salad. Sandwiches come with one side. The choices are:
Fries, rice, hummus, baba ganouj, grape leaves, small salad, parsley salad, mediterranean slaw.
Hani loves what he does and wants all of his customers to enjoy their time there. I definitely recommend a visit for the great service and food!
